Matthew warns Devki that the fourth man, Jagan, is a hard criminal: going after him is dangerous for her family. Matthew finds Devki's glasses in Mohit's apartment and starts suspecting her. Matthew also suspects Anand since he had attacked Mohit in court, but although he has him tailed, cannot catch him out. She believes it may be her father, and is deeply grateful to him. As Devki takes down each of Aarya's attackers, their situations make it on the news, which Aarya follows with surprise. Inspector Matthew quickly arrests Mohit Charles will die soon and Mohit will be the murderer. When Mohit visits Charles at the hospital, Devki, tipped off by DK, plants apple seeds and other evidence at Mohit's home. Devki breaks into his home and mixes crushed apple seeds – a source of cyanide – into his fitness powder. In a state of shock, he dies in an accident. He awakes four days later, still drunk, and finds, to his horror, that he has been castrated and remembers nothing. Devki seeks the help of her former students - transgender people who understand her plight. A father of a daughter himself, he understands her pain and agrees to help her as Devki wants justice and revenge for Aarya. In sorrow, Devki realizes she has probably lost Aarya forever.ĭevki recalls the somewhat shady detective, Daya Shankar Kapoor (abbreviated DK), whom she'd met on the night Arya was raped. Aarya, still in shock and broken by the court verdict, tears away from Devki. Her lawyer suggests appealing to a higher court but Devki has lost faith. The judge acquits the four attackers due to lack of evidence. Furthermore, the semen samples were recovered very late and were too weak to match the attackers.

However, the case falls apart when Aarya was found to be drinking, thus building the argument that her memory is unreliable. Inspector Matthew quickly rounds up the perpetrators. Aarya soon recovers and releases a statement naming her attackers. Aarya is found barely alive and brought to the hospital. They brutally rape her and dump her body in a drain along the side of a road, leaving her for dead after half-strangling her. Angered by this very public rejection, Charles, Mohit, their criminal friend Joginder 'Jagan' Singh, and the security guard of the farmhouse Babu Ram Yadav attack Aarya when she leaves the party. Aarya rejects Mohit and his cousin brother Charles Deewan at the party. When Aarya is invited to Valentine's Day party at a farmhouse called Zodiac Farms, Devki and her husband, Anand, permit her to go with great hesitation. At home, despite Devki's persistent and warm approach toward her, Aarya remains frosty and distant, rebuffing her attempts to build a relationship. In the class, a student, Mohit Chadda, sends Devki's stepdaughter Aarya an offensive video and Devki throws his phone out of the window. Devki Sabarwal is a biology teacher and vivacious and popular among her students.
